The Weekend PBR Wrap Up – 6-Aug

On Saturday night, Brady Fielder shared the title with 2015 PBR Australian National Champion Fraser Babbington at the Monster Energy Tour event in Newcastle.

The pair went 2-for-3 with 168.5 points to be crowned co-champions ahead of Lachlan Richardson who finished third on 167.5 points.

Just a quick wrap up of the International PBR Touring Pro Division events this week as details are scarce.

On Thursday, Nathan Burtenshaw and Ky Hamilton both came down early in Round 1 at Brighton, Colorado.

Burtenshaw bucked off Juicy Fruit from Talbert Bucking Bulls and Hamilton was unable to cover L4 Livestock’s Cleo’s Cloud.

Texan Ezekiel Mitchell took the win.

Both Aussie riders backed up for the event in Allen, Texas on Saturday.

Burtenshaw was again down early in the long round at 1.37 seconds courtesy of Boot Campaign – Lace Up America his is hauled by Swinging C Cattle Co. and Shadow Run Ranch.

Hamilton put together a nice ride away from his hand in Round 1 aboard Yippy High Yo from 5G Farms and Patterson Cattle for 83.5 points. He progressed onto the Championship Round where he bucked off OK Brand from D&H Cattle and Craig Moore.

The 19-year-old would ultimately finish in eighth place, just outside the allocation of world points.

The event was taken out by World No. 2 Jose Vitor Leme.

Lachlan Slade was also in action on Saturday at the Livingston Classic in Montana.

Slade picked up a second entry on the night but unfortunately finished 0-for-4. His bovine opponents averaging bulls scores of 42.62 points with all buck off times coming under 2.5 seconds.

It was a rough event for the cowboys with just five bulls covered. Gage Gay took the win after he went 3-for-3.
