Australian riders continued their summer campaigns in Canada this past week with two more PBR Canada Touring Pro Division events contested.
Results have also been posted for the Edgerton event from late last week. These were not available when I posted last week’s wrap-up, so let’s dive into the event recaps.
Last Saturday – Edgerton Touring Pro
Six Aussie riders competed in Edgerton last weekend with Aaron Kleier finishing the best of our riders finishing in fourth place with 164.5 points on two bulls.
Kleier rode Girletz Rodeo Stock’s Jitter Bug in the long round for 78.5 points and added an 86 point rider aboard Kubota’s Summer Warrior from Wild Hoggs, Chmelnyk and Bryant in the Championship Round.
Lawson Nobbs split second place in Round 1 thanks to an 84 point effort aboard Wacko Jacko from Foley Bucking Bulls. It appears as though Nobbs’ was unable to take his ride in the short round and he wound up finishing the event in sixth place.
Washingtonian Cody Casper won the event with a two bull total of 169.5 points to hold off Kache Moosman on 169 points and Dakota Buttar on 168.5 points.
Here are the Full Results from Edgerton.
Thursday – Kinsella Touring Pro
After winning a Bull Riders Canada event earlier in the week, Brady Fielder broke through for this first PBR event win on Canadian Soil thanks to a 2-for-2 169 point performance.
Fielder opened his night with an 83 point ride on Wild Hoggs’ Can’t Catch me to finish Round 1 in a share of second place. He then combined with Eno Bucking Bulls’ Thunder Road for 86 points in the Championship Round to finish atop the leaderboard.
Lane Mellers also finished in the money after producing his own 83 point bull ride in the opening round. Mellers split second in the round with Fielder thanks to his qualified ride on Wild Hoggs’ Chances. He bucked off his bull in the short round and finished the event splitting fourth place.
Jack Keats picked up eighth place points after he was marked 80 points aboard Smash from Skori Bucking Bulls.
Canadian Jackson Scott finished runner up behind Fielder and was the only other rider to go 2-for-2. Fabian Dueck was the best of the riders with one score finishing in third place.
Saturday – Lloydminster Touring Pro
Just four riders posted qualified rides in Lloydminster with Brady Fielder once again leading the way for the Aussies.
Fielder covered Thompson Rodeo Livestock’s Drift Off to a Dream for 82 points in Round 1 and remained perfect thanks to an 84.5-point ride on Wild Hoggs’ Catch of the Day in the Championship Round.
His 166.5 point total was good enough to finish the night in third place behind event champion Cody Nance on 169.5 points and Shay Marks on 168 points.
Lane Mellers finished the event in fourth place thanks to his Round 1-winning, 85 point ride on X6 Ranch’s Cypress Hills Sinne.
Full Results are not yet available, but here is Kacie Albert’s write up.
Check back on Monday for full details of what is coming up this week in The PBR Rundown!
