The Weekend PBR Wrap-Up – 1-Oct

2019 PBR Australia Monster Energy Tour

Clermont’s Brady Fielder won his second Monster Energy Tour event of the 2019 season on Saturday night in Mackay.

Fielder was one of four riders to finish the performance 2-for-2 with his 89-point ride aboard POA Fully Locked & Loaded proving the difference.

The bulls put up impressive numbers with the average bull score recorded at 42.31 points, 0.83 higher than the 2019 average mark. It was the second highest average of the season, just behind the Cairns Invitational at 42.45 points.

The cowboys covered 32.5% of their bulls which is about one qualified ride above the season average of 30.72%. This percentage is made all the more impressive when you take the bull power into account.

Kurt Shephard, Lachlan Slade and Nathan Burtenshaw competed at the stand alone two-day event in Portland, Maine.

Shephard was the only Aussie to put a score on the board with his 83-point ride aboard El Chivato good enough to split ninth place on the opening day.

The Atherton bull rider would end up finishing the event in 16th place after coming down before the whistle in Round 2 at the hands of Twinkle Toes.

Slade bucked off Blowing Smoke in a time of 6.14 seconds in Round 1, and then fell victim to Road Rage on day two with the buck-off recorded at 3.78 seconds.

Burtenshaw was required to do some bull fighting against Adonis following his 7.78 second buck off in the opening round. He then was down early in Round 2 courtesy of Black Ice.

Brazilian Alan De Souza was crowned the Champion in Maine.
