The Weekend Futurity Wrap-Up – 8-Apr

ABBI Australia held five classes of Futurity competition on Saturday morning at the Sapphire City ABBI Futurity.

Some of Australia’s best up and coming bucking bulls were in action at the Inverell Showgrounds with $1000 in prize money and buckles up for grabs.

The 2019 Sapphire City Yearling Champion was #D17 SweetPro’s Frekyll & Hyde. The Nicki & Kevin Kasper owned youngster was scored 86.5 points by the judges.

In second place was #636 owned by Dittmann Bucking Bulls and Keliher Bucking Bulls, who was marked 84.5 points by the judges. Scott Maynes’ #-12 backed up his winning performance from Tamworth with a third-place finish in Inverell after putting up 84 points.

The 2019 Sapphire City Futurity Champion was #617 owned by Dittmann Bucking Bulls and Keliher Bucking Bulls. #617 was marked 86.5 points to hold off Tamworth Futurity Champion #610 Honey Badger from TnR Bucking Bulls who was 86 points.

#27 Pirate Patch finished in third place for Running Gold Bucking Bulls who added another strong performance to his record.

TnR Bucking Bulls’ #621 Hot Laps took out the 2019 Sapphire City Dittmann Bucking Bulls Limited Futurity with 82 points.

We had co-champions in the 2019 Sapphire City Derby competition with #627 Ranga for Dittmann Bucking Bulls and Keliher Bucking Bulls marked 87.5 points, as was #X11 Midnight Hour for Scott Maynes.

In third place was #050 Bangkok, who was marked 86 points for Running Gold Bucking Bulls.

Dittmann Bucking Bulls and Holly Keliher took out the 2019 Sapphire City Ladies competition with #621 who scored 87 points.

Kristy Murphy’s #019 Bang On finished runner-up with 86.5 points with #701 from Dittmann Bucking Bulls and Holly Keliher marked 85.5 points to finish in third place.
