Mission accomplished: Kleier completes goal of winning Aussie PBR Championship

Aaron Kleier produced a 2-for-5 performance against Australia’s toughest bucking bulls at the PBR Australia Grand Finals to claim the 2018 PBR Australia National Championship.

Kleier came into the Grand Finals as the No. 1 ranked rider in the country with a lead of over 770-points to his nearest rival. The 19-year-old led the standings for much of the extended 2018 season.

He added the exclamation point to his year with a third-place finish inside the Townsville Entertainment and Convention Center, extending his lead in the Championship to over 1125-points.

Kleier set the goal of winning the 2018 Championship following his outstanding 2017 rookie season where he finished runner-up in the standings.

The Clermont cowboy finished the season with an outstanding riding percentage of 57.5%. He recorded six wins and amassed over $43,000 in prize money plus he also received the Champions Bonus of $15,000.

Keier set a PBR Australia record in money earned, and his riding percentage is the highest we have seen in many years.

What is next for Kleier? I think we will find out sooner than later.
