The PBR is back, and we have Australian Riders competing in two of the scheduled events, and both look to be timed well for Aussie fans.
For event times, check out this week’s PBR Rundown.
PBR Unleash The Beast Tour – New York, NY.
Both of the Aussies will be out late in Section 2.
Brady Fielder will face Chuck & Larry from Jenkins Cattle and Richard & Teri Braun in the opening long round. This bull likes to turn back to the left, but his tempo is pretty good, and there is a lot of up and down to his action. He has been ridden three times in his short career, all for 87 points with two of those belonging to the left-handed Chase Outlaw and the third to Matt Triplett who is a rightie.
Aaron Kleier goes up against S&C from the same pen on night one. We have not seen this bull at the premier level for almost 12 months, and he has changed trainers. This bull has also been ridden three times for mid-80 point scores. The last time we saw him, he turned back to the left and bucked around with plenty of forward movement. Both left and right-handed riders have tasted success including Dener Barbosa and Cody Teel.
Here is the Daysheet for Night 1 in The Big Apple.
The Aussies are scheduled to ride back-to-back in Section 2.
Brady Fielder will be first to ride against Thunder’s Cartel from M Rafter E Bucking Bulls. This bull has had 11 PBR trips with 9 of those coming at the Unleash The Beast level. Just one rider has been successful, the right-handed Matt Triplett who was 86.5 points in Fairfax. This bull bucks from the right chutes and likes to take a look to the left before spinning back to the right with at a nice rhythm.
Aaron Kleier has drawn Gangster Time from my good buddy Curt Check’s pen of bulls. He is unridden in three trips at the premier level and two of his three opponents have been lefties. At his best, this bull leaves the right delivery very strong for a jump for two, and then he makes a turn back to the left. We didn’t see the best of him at the World Finals, but he can do it all with plenty of pace.
Aaron Kleier will be the first Aussie out in Section 3 against Total Feeds Bushwacked from Ohl, Herb, McDowell and Comozzi. We have seen this bull a bunch of times in the last 18 months and he is always marked around the 43.5-point mark and gets ridden around 25% of the time. Left-handers have a nice record. He likes to take a long leap to clear the gate and can turn back in either direction. In his performance last night, he turned to the left and combined with Dakota Buttar for 88-points and the Round 2 win.
Brady Fielder will ride in Section 4 against Apocalypse from Deer Prarie Creek Bucking Bulls. This bull is also backing up from Round 2 where he bucked off Jess Lockwood in just his second PBR trip. He was strong, and around to the right in the gate (from memory).
PBR Velocity Tour – Oakland, CA.
Lane Mellers will be the first of the Aussies out in Section 2 aboard Joe Dirt from Crown 7 Bucking Bulls. This bull has bucked out just the two times in the PBR and both times he was marked 43.50 points. I have not been able to track down any vision from either Touring Pro Division performance. Lawson Nobbs is listed next in the daysheet to ride against Deadly Dollar who looks to be making his PBR debut from the same bull pen. I have not been able to find any information on this bull.
Both Mellers and Nobbs will make their 2020 U.S. debut next weekend due to travel issues experienced earlier this week.
Check out the Daysheet for O-Town.
Check back early next week for my PBR Weekend Wrap Up!
