It appears as though Lachlan Richardson is still experiencing some Visa issues and will miss another week of the Premier Series, so that means we have just the two Aussies to cheer on this weekend in the USA.
Kurt Shephard (Atherton, QLD) and Lawson Nobbs (Moura, QLD) will strap on their spurs at the PBR Pendleton Whiskey Velocity Tour event in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Shephard enters the weekend ranked 46th in the world and after representing Team Australia at the PBR Global Cup a fortnight ago, lined up in Velocity tour action in Florida. He made it deep into the 8-seconds but ultimatley bucked off in his only opportunity of the night.
The 24-year-old has drawn Rehab from Mark Reed in the long round. This bull was out three times in the PBR minor leagues last year for just one qualified ride in March. I haven’t been able to find any vision of Mason Lowe’s 82-point effort.
The 74th ranked Nobbs heads into the weekend in great form after going 2-for-2 to win the Texarkana Touring Pro Division event last week. The 21-year-old put up a pair of 86.5-point rides to record his second career victory in PBR competition.
Nobbs will face off against Crown Jewel from Derek Bevington in Round 1. This bull is a newcomer to the scene with just one PBR out under his hooves. Maycon Moura was down in 3.19 seconds earlier this season.
