There are just the two PBR events scheduled for decision in the USA this weekend and they are both two-day performances.
Coonamble’s Nathan Burtenshaw and Atherton’s Kurt Shephard will once again take their place in the draw at the premier Unleash The Beast Tour event in Houston.
Burtenshaw will be riding with a knee injury that he suffered last weekend in Tulsa, but with time running out to qualify for the 2019 PBR World Finals the 25-year-old needs to start adding points and moving up the rankings.
Tamworth’s Lachlan Slade will be the lone Aussie competing at the Touring Pro Division event in North Dakota.

PBR Unleash The Beast Tour – Houston, TX.
Round 1
Kurt Shephard will be out in Section 1 and has drawn Coy Dog from Rickey West Bucking Bulls. I have been unable to track down any information on this bull.
Bandy’s Bad Boy will be the opponent for Nathan Burtenshaw in the final section. D&H Cattle Co. and Moe & Rusty Bandy partner on this bull who we haven’t seen for almost a year. In the past, he turned back to the right almost exclusively. Bad Boy has been covered just nine times during his lengthy 66 out career.
Here is the Daysheet for Night 1 in Houston.
Round 2
Kurt Shephard will face Black Sharp’s Godzilla in Round 2. He is unridden through four outs in PBR competition. In his Unleash The Beast debut he bucked off Ryan Dirteater and Cody Nance. His initial look was to the left before turning back to the right with a whippy action.
Swayze from Dakota Rodeo, Chad Berger, Clay Struve and Diamond Willow will be the opponent for Nathan Burtenshaw. This bull has outstanding tempo, loads of power and will be around to the left. Matt Triplett has two of the three qualified rides on this bull and they were earlier this season for mid to high 80-point scores.
Check out the Championship Sunday Daysheet.
PBR Touring Pro Division – Killdeer, ND.
Night 1
Lachlan Slade will go up against L&E Bucking Bulls’ Problem Child in Round 1 on the opening night. I have been unable to track down any information on this bull.
In Round 2, Slade will face BB Stubbs from the same contractor. This bull has been out twice in PBR Touring Pro Division competition and is yet to be ridden. Both riders made it to just over 3-seconds and the bull recorded scores of 41.5 and 42 points.
