Despite a break in the action on the PBR’s premier tour following a brutal weekend Music City Knockout last weekend, there is still plenty of bull riding to cover in this week’s PBR Weekend Preview. The top riders in the PBR World Standings turn their attention to the PBR’s minor tours in a bid to earn enough points to cement their place at the Velocity Tour Finals and PBR World Finals at Las Vegas in November.
PBR Touring Pro Division
Aussie’s Justin Paton (Nebo, QLD) and Lachlan Slade (Tamworth, NSW) will be competing in the PBR Touring Pro event in Eureka, MT on Sunday at 11am.
Paton has drawn Red Dawn from Dakota Rodeo/Chad Berger/Clay Struve/Heald Pro Bulls in the long-go. The bull has been ridden 9 times from 30 career out and looks a good fit for a left-handed rider so I give the 26-year-old a big chance of making the whistle here.
Sid’s Wish from PK Triplett Bucking Bulls will be Slade’s opponent in Round 1. This bull was ridden twice at the Touring Pro Event in Big Sky in July to take his record to 4-for-8. Slade looks to have a good shot at get a score on the board.
PBR Australia touring Pro Division
This weekend, the PBR Australia Touring Pro Division heads to South West Queensland for three rounds of action at the Cunnamulla Fella Festival PBR. Fraser Babbington (Gisborne, NZ) and Cody Heffernan (Singleton, NSW) will be looking to take advantage of the absence of Australia’s Number 1 and 2 ranked riders and make up points in the race to become PBR Australian National Champion.

PBR Velocity Tour
The Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour heads to Salinas, CA on Sunday afternoon. There are no Aussies in the draw but this event is live on Ridepass at Midday and has a quality field listed on the Daysheet. This should be a great event with a handy pen of bulls contracted.
