2019 PBR World Finals – Round 1 Review
Cliff Richardson was the first of the Aussie pair to ride and he came out on top, marked 85.75 points aboard Halpain and Martinelli’s Excessive Force. The bull looked to the left and then settled into a right-handed spin with some forward movement.
Brady Fielder was out just a short time later but his ride on Air Assault ended at 3.6 seconds with the 444 Bucking Bulls, Winston, Davis, Durham, Buck and D&H Cattle bucker marked 43.5. The bull turned back into Fielders hand, but an over-correction bought the young gun unstuck.
The Australia-bound Eduardo Aparecido took out the round with a 91.25-point ride aboard Chiseled from Flinn and D&H Cattle Company.
Preachers Kid from K Bar C and RD Cattle leads the ABBI Classic Competition after Round 1. He was marked 91.20 in his 1.55-second bout with Dylan Smith.
2019 PBR World Finals – Round 2 Preview
Round 2 looks a tough one for the Aussies on paper.
Cliff Richardson will be the first rider out and he will take on Cochise from Gene Owen and Jane Clark. Cliff’s brother Lachlan took on this bull in this arena exactly one year ago to the day and since then, he has been ridden 9 times from 14 outs, all for 90+ point scores. 78 riders have climbed aboard Cochise and he has been covered 19 times. The problem for Richardson is that just one of those scores belongs to a right-hander. He is honest, consistently good and will be around to the left.
Brady Fielder has drawn High Chaparral from Bierema Rodeo. This bull has been covered just the once in PBR competition and that was in Cheyenne for 84.25 points by Daylon Swearingen. There is nothing smooth about this big powerful bull. He mostly turns left, and he will stop, jerk riders around, roll, move up and down, just about every dirty trick in the book.
The race for Bucking Bull of the Year should be great viewing tonight.
