2019 PBR Finals Week – Day 5 Update

Today, Finals Week hits top gear with the 2019 PBR World Finals beginning at T-Mobile Arena tonight.

The ABBI Finals also continue as we crown three more champions plus we begin the search for a World Champion in the Mini Bull Riders and Freestyle Bull Fighting.

Check out The PBR Rundown for all the Australian timings.

2019 PBR World Finals – Round 1 Preview

The big dance kicks off with Round 1 of the ABBI Classic Competition. Some of these three and four-year-old bulls are up there with the rankest in the world. The number of bulls that we see ridden in these types of rounds can vary, but I think we will see a bunch of scores.

Both Australian cowboys will be out in Section 2 tonight.

Cliff Richardson will be first to ride, up against Excessive Force from Halpain and Martinelli. This is a bull that has not been ridden in his four trips against the Unleash The Beast riders. He gets out a long way from the chutes, rolling and looking left before he turns back to the right.

Brady Fielder has drawn Air Assault from 444 Bucking Bulls, Winston, Davis, Durham, Buck and D&H Cattle. This bull has not only been bucking in the Classic rounds but also in some of the Short Rounds. He has been ridden just once from seven trips on the Unleash The Beast. He shoots clear of the chutes and kicks hard before turning back to the right.

Here is the full Round 1 Daysheet.

ABBI Finals Results

Yesterday morning we saw the ABBI Futurity Finals begin with Round 1 here at the South Point. D&H Cattle Company dominated the opening round filling the Top-4 spots on the leaderboard with their partners.

Cherry Bomb (Flinn/D&H) put up big numbers, posting 92.60 points to lead the field at the halfway mark. Check out the full rundown here.

The UBHA Bucking Horse Finals were also run and won in the afternoon session. You can head to their website to see the full results.

Coming Up Today

Early this morning we have the ABBI Cowgirl, ABBI Junior and ABBI Limited Futurity classes up for decision in the South Point Arena.

Flint Rasmussen “Outside the Barrel” show kicks off in the Fan Zone, and it will be live on RidePass around breakfast time if you are looking for a laugh before you head off to work.

In the afternoon we will also see the 2019 Chris Shivers Mini Bull Riders World Finals and 2019 Shorty Gorham’s American Freestyle Bull Fighting World Finals commence in the arena.

Coming Up Tomorrow

You don’t want to miss the Rank Pen contracted for Round 2 of the 2019 PBR World Finals.

It’s also a big day here at the South Point as we crown an ABBI Futurity World Champion following Round 2 of that competition. It will be followed by the ABBI Lunch and Awards and the ABBI Elite Yearling and Premier Video Sale in the afternoon.
