2018 PBR Finals Week – Day 2

Velocity Tour Finals Round 1 Review

Both Australian bull riders were down early in Round 1 of the Velocity Tour Finals last night.

Nathan Burtenshaw’s buck off came at the 3.39 second mark of the ride. Bad Company (4 Wide/Hoffman) was a handful in the chute and after backing out, had the 24-year-old out of position quickly. The bull score was 42-points.

Cliff Richardson faced off with He Reigns from McKenzie, Novak and The Jaynes Gang. His buck off came at 4.6 seconds after being strung out by the bull. He Reigns received a 42-point bull score from the judges.

The Gresford cowboy’s path to the World Finals via the International invite spot was made even tougher with the PBR Mexico’s Francisco Garcia Torres riding Mr. Valentine for 86-points.

The Round was taken out by Chase Outlaw who continues to stay hot. Outlaw rode Bowie Daze for 88.5 points to hold off Jose Vitor Leme. The Brazilian continues to applly pressure in the PBR World Championship race after he recieved 88 points for his perfect ride on Wired To Hook.

Velocity Tour Finals Round 2 Preview

I have not been able to track down any video or information on the two Derby bulls that the Australia Riders will face tonight.

Burtenshaw will be out in Section 1 and will face off against Keno from Chad Berger Bucking Bulls.

Richardson gets his chance to make amends for last night’s buck off against King Richard (Ogden Ranch/Hart Cattle Co.) in Section 2 of the draw.

With just twelve qualified rides in Round 1, the door is ajar for both riders to make it back for the Championship Round if they can get a solid ride in the books.
